"I don't think it would be wise for us to wait to develop the kinds of weapons systems, we need for a future conflict until we had the diplomatic agreements signed," Army Secretary Christine Wormuth said.
The newly re-designated regiment plans to experiment with expeditionary advance base operations this year.

The Navy and Marine Corps will likely release the study's results in the coming weeks, according to Commandant Gen. David Berger.

“We are actively negotiating right now — the Army is — for Stinger and related components, and that's ongoing,” said Bill LaPlante, the Pentagon's top acquisition official, in wake of US sending thousands of weapons to Ukraine.
